A sneak peak at the new Holiday Ornament "Pedals" for 2022

Background:

For the past few years, everybody has had a lot of fun building these Christmas ornaments which are also working guitar “pedals.”

We have the lofi boost tree with blinking lights, a green ringer (tentacle) octave up bell, and an opamp distortion snowman.

2022 Additions:

These year we’re adding two new ones:

• Auto-wah / envelope filter on a wrapped gift

• Silicon Fuzz-face style transistor fuzz on a stocking

Here’s a quick and dirty, single-take recording I threw together this morning to show you:

Shout out for PCBway.com for the prototype boards, too. I’ve recently switched to them and have been VERY pleased at both the quality and timing. Except for a tiny bit of banding on large areas of silk screening, they’re indistinguishable from expensive production runs of boards. And they ship quicker than any other fab house I’ve used in the past. Usually just a couple days.

Very impressed.

Anyhow, I’ll be getting the production boards and parts in about a week or two, and start the VERY long and VERY tedious :) task of assembling the kits.

And despite rising costs, I’m going to hold the line for one more year on our ridiculously low prices (I think next year I’ll have no choice but to raise them): $19 each or 3 for $49.

Unlike previous years though, we won’t have pre-packaged 3-packs. Instead you choose whichever individual ornaments you want and if you have 3 or more, they’ll be discounted automatically at checkout.

i.e. build your own 3 pack.
