Last fall we started putting together a DIY guitar pedal kit that you could confidently recommend to anyone with the slightest passing interest in the hobby. It should be inexpensive, require minimal tooling, eliminate the common failure points and confusing aspects of pedal building, and have excellent documentation and builder support.
We’re excited to be shipping these to a handful of early adopters to get some initial feedback. It’s not quite ready, though: we still need to finish the accompanying videos, are awaiting delivery of the “How to Solder” booklets (optional add-on, or free PDF), and have a few other odds and ends to take care of.
In the meantime, here are some pics of what the kit will include. By the way, I keep calling it a “beginner’s kit” but really, it’s a fun and relaxing build for people of any skill level. I think you’ll find it delightful.
I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one of these.
